Blue Vase and Radishes

I have never been a big fan of the still life but after taking a lesson from the great masters Lefell, McGraw and Kamin, I have taken up the challenge!  And what a challenge it is!  I have never used Maroger before the lessons so that transition is tough enough let alone the pursuit of paint quality, light and shadow and all things David!

David teaches that one does not copy what one sees; rather, one uses the arrangement to compose and manipulate until the desired image emerges.  Easier said than done.  And above all else, create beautiful paintings (visual delight is what he says).

This is a large still life, 16"x20", oil on canvas, $120 +s/h $5.
