Russian Bowl and Onions
I bought a hand-painted and lacquered wooden bowl when I worked in the Far East Russia a while back. It is a luminous gold inside with a high gloss black finish on the exterior. Really a work of art! The red onions are fun to paint and the challenge here was depicting the loose paper-thin skin peeling back and casting a shadow. Oil, 6'x8", $60 + s/h $5.
