Have you ever used Maroger? Do you paint on slick wooden panels? Have you been instructed to make brushstrokes? This painting was an experiment in all of these areas and I was exhausted in trying to keep in mind all of those ideas. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the experience and the model was so good to work with. Yes, an artist and a model have a unique connection and there is a balance in every portrait--model and artist. Oil on panel, 16"x12", $600 framed.
