South Platte Building

This oil on board is a painting of the South Platte River in downtown Denver with a brick building in the background and a tree with a white trunk as a focal point.  I love to paint plein air.

Ebony Carving

I picked up a native carved ebony wood animal figure, I suppose it is a gazelle, while travelling to Africa. The wood figure is heavy, hard and has a dull shine--simply beautiful.  I paired this with a hand thrown cookie jar that I bought in Kentucky and situated some Cuties and a beautiful red onion on my art table for an interesting composition in oil on board.
