South Platte Building

This oil on board is a painting of the South Platte River in downtown Denver with a brick building in the background and a tree with a white trunk as a focal point.  I love to paint plein air.

Little Girl Cook

I like the ambiance of this picture--dark home, small primitive stove and a little girl setting a large pot to help cook the family meal.  I was inspired by a small photo that I saw in a local newspaper--loved the composition, light and shadow shapes and most importantly, the subject matter--I had to paint it!  Hope you enjoy! 16"x 20", oil on canvas. fragman56@yahoo.com 

Bear Creek

 

I stopped by my favorite "home waters" trout stream to do a little plein air painting and came out with this.  I entered this 12"x12" oil on board into the 2015 Colorado Plein Air juried competition and was accepted!  It showed in the Denver Downtown Library last year.  Lots of impasto which I love.  I must fish this hole as soon as I can since I know that the big troutsky lives there!  $700 + shipping.  I have a custom antiqued gold frame that looks spectacular on it. fragman56@yahoo.com
