Creste Butte River
A small plein air done for the Crested Butte Open Plein Air. 8"x6" oil on board. A magnificent setting! Morning by the riverside watching/listening to the gently waterfall catching the morning sun. Lovely, magical time and place for painting plein air.

Calf Roper 20"x16" oil on canvas
The action and intensity drew me to this image. The horse looks off to the side in a wild eyed manner but stays on course due to his training. The roper is snugging up the rope will staying on task--the mouth is taunt, the head is down, the arms doing their part! The calf is furry and fleeing. The late Nevada afternoon is hot and dusty and no one but the roper knows the struggle going on except perhaps the other cowboys awaiting their jobs.
$120, oil on canvas, S&H $5, fragman56
